  • Course Summaries: These were due on Friday. If you need to make a tweak or add something, please do so before the end of Monday. Thank you.
  • Advisory Letters: During the MS Faculty Meeting on Thursday, we will be working on the structure of the Advisory letters. It is important that all advisors are present or connect with the Grade Level Team Leaders if you have an early conference.

Changes to the Week Ahead, Updates & Reminders

  • Civvies Day: Just a reminder that although Civvies Day is on Halloween, costumes, face paint and masks are not allowed. Please remind all students of this in Advisory.
  • Experience Days: Students will be receiving an email on Monday to select their choice for Experience Days. Thank you for everyone who helped brainstorm ideas. We will be working on these again to finalize assignments, schedules etc. for this during the MS Faculty meeting on Thursday.
  • Conference Day Prep: Flex on Wednesday will be replaced by an extra Advisory period to allow for more conference prep. Please send kids to advisory rather than Flex. (updated 10/29/18)
  • Volleyball Game: Thursday is the annual faculty/staff against the MS Volleyball team. This year this is going to be a super tough game! If you are interested in playing, please contact Mike.
  • Pumpkins: I am still in shock at how brilliant these were this year! The 5th grade could not believe that they were created in just half an hour. The judging has been completed and I am sure the flies will be starting shortly! Please remove anything you would like to keep before the end of Wednesday when they will be removed.
  • Winter 1 Athletics: This will begin next week, November 5. Choices will be Girls Soccer, Boys Basketball, Strength & Conditioning, or Tennis.
  • Grade 6 reset: Per Shelli's email, we are holding off on the grade reset until NEXT WEEK. This will allow Grade 6 Advisors the opportunity to use the grade books during conferences if necessary.

Kudos!

A big thanks to Kyle and Angelica for running the ATL session on Friday. This was a great way to kick off our in-depth look at what we are doing and where in MS in regards to these. More to come later in the month on ATLs.

Shelli, Breanne, Kyle, and Angelica did not enjoy Monday off like the rest of us. Instead, they attended a conference in Seattle relating to social-emotional wellbeing of our kiddos. They will be reporting back their takeaways from the day to us all at a faculty meeting soon. Thank you for your commitment to the MS!
