Action Items

  • End of Year Check-Out: As you all get ready to head out for the summer, there are a number of end of year items that need to be completed before you depart. Please take a moment to review this and we can discuss this document and requirements during the In-Service Days on Thursday.
  • Subject Progress Reports: Here we go! The final stretch and series of subject reports. Please complete these narratives and upload your grades before you depart on Friday, June 14. Thursday In-Service will be predominately devoted to completing these, but Friday will consist of a variety of meetings, so please don't bank on using this time solely for reports. Here are the guidelines for writing these reports. Once they are done, please email Ruth, Shelli, and I. We will then check and upload them to MyAW for you the following week.

Changes to the Week Ahead, Updates, & Reminders

  • Summer Work: Please see the linked PDF document that has gone out to parents with the required summer work for our kiddos. This will also be in the Back to School Guide out later in June/ early July from Jen Willey.

        Action Items

        • Unit Pacing Planner: As we discussed at the MYP Faculty meeting on Thursday, please complete these before you leave for the summer. It is short and requires just the name and dates of the units you completed THIS year.
        • Subject Progress Reports: Here we go! The final stretch and series of subject reports. Please complete these narratives and upload your grades before you depart on Friday, June 14. Thursday will be predominately devoted to completing these, but Friday will consist of a variety of meetings, so please don't bank on using this time solely for reports. Here are the guidelines for writing these reports. Once they are done, please email Ruth, Shelli, and I. We will then check and upload them to MyAW for you the following week.

Changes to the Week Ahead, Updates, & Reminders

          • Professional Conference Summary - END OF YEAR: Ruth has reached out to all of you returning next year to meet with me in the following weeks. She has kindly linked a document called Professional Conference Summary in your faculty folder. Please complete this prior to our meeting so we can use this as a starting point for our discussion. If you have been considering any sort of professional development this summer, please bring these ideas with you. Thanks for making the time to meet, I know it is a busy time of year.
          • Maternity Coverage: John LaBonte has accepted the position and will be covering for Niki starting in August. He has a vast amount of MS science experience, moving from Texas a year ago. John has been subbing this year at Bellarmine, where his wife currently works. He is currently not looking for fulltime work, and so this position is a delight for him! Once we have all our hires complete, I will email you all more details.
          • PT Counselor: I am pleased to announce that Breanne will be returning next year! Due to her family commitments, she will only be at a 0.5 position. We are currently advertising for an additional parttime counselor that will cover either MS or LS. More details to follow when we know more.
          • 2019-2020 MS Schedule: Ann is looking over the MS schedule for next year and I hope to have a confirmation by the end of the week that our provisional (you all know how things can change over the summer) schedule is good to be released to you all. I'll keep you posted!

              Absent Students

              Kudos!

              • To John for spearheading the 6th grade Medieval experience over the last week. From the battlefield to catapults, and finishing off with presentations and costumes, John and additional 6th grade advisors created another memorable experience that our students will remember for many years to come. Thanks for all the extra work!
