- Reflection: Please email me any suggestions you may have for how to improve these days for next year. I have had a few informal conversations with folks which have been really helpful and informative. There continues to be some disconnect between the activities and who the organizations are etc. and that obviously needs work. Other suggestions and comments are welcomed. If you felt an experience went particularly well or badly, please let me know!
- Photos: Kyle set up a Google Folder for the photos. If you have any please add so that the students have access to their blogging. These will be uploaded later to Vidigami. Thank you.
Changes to the Week Ahead, Updates, & Reminders
- We have two Self Study meetings this week! If your department is done with part C of the Self Study, then you will have little to do on Thursday and it should be short! Monday we are reviewing reporting and looking to reflect on our Assessment Policy. If you are PT and not present, please connect with Angelica or in this week to get caught up.
- Upcoming Sex Ed Classes. Devon has emailed all the MS parents regarding these classes that are being led by an outside educator. Please let both of us know if you hear any concerns from families.

- Ticket to Thrive Reflection: I had issues with uploading the photos to the Google Form regarding the students that visited for your feedback, but have this done by the end of Monday. Thank you for your understanding.
- Community Engagement: Please review the activities and organizations that your advisory will be visiting and discuss it with them. Here is the folder with all of the descriptions for the locations. These descriptions that Ruth has kindly created state about lunch and uniform expectations too. No mention of uniform means that they ARE in uniform!
- Wednesday will be the FCD Presentation on Substance Abuse. Please see the times that this is occurring for each grade listed above. If you normally teach that grade at that time, please attend. Advisors, if you are free during your grades presentation, it would be helpful for you to also attend. Here is the outline of what will be covered.
- New student in 7th grade - Nomun
- Nomun’s native language is Mongolian. She attends a Mongolian/Russian school and is studying Russian, English, and recently German in school. She is well-traveled (S. Korea, Singapore, China, France) and is eager to study French as well! She has won awards in math. Her sister is also enrolling in 10th as a boarder. Nomun will live with her aunt in Gig Harbor until she too is able to board. She will be in ESL.

We hope that these explain each student's progress and current math track. If questions arise, please direct parents and students to the Math team.

- Scholar Search for Grade 8 begins at 1:30pm. Students are to change (if they would like) and then go to the Great Hall. There is no P5 or P6 for them.

Action Items
- Reports: Shelli and I are currently reviewing the Advisor Reports. Once we have revied these, we will email each advisor and let you know that these are ready to be uploaded into myAW. We will be releasing these reports, along with the MI testing scores, and a Math update letter, all on Friday. Please have your reports uploaded by Friday morning.
- Ticket to Thrive: Please review this schedule. All faculty should be on campus by 8:30am on Saturday. Please ensure your rooms are open, lights on, tidy, and ready for tours. Please also check any communal spaces near your rooms too. Some folk have very specific tasks, others should be working on unit planners and Angelica be available to review units and where we should be updating and storing these during the day. Please make sure to review what you should be doing and when. The dress should be professional. Currently, we have 16 students registered. That's a good solid number, especially as our Chinese students will not be present.

- MI testing all week in Math in the Great Hall. The Math department will facilitate this. Please let/remind students that this testing will begin right at 10am. If you have the class directly before 10am (P2), please let your students go a few minutes early to use the restroom etc. before they should report to the Great Hall.

- Because of the above MI Testing, we are changing our Long Food Advisory to next week
- Laptop use: It was discovered late on Friday, that a number of 7th-grade girls have been regularly breaking PSA, especially over the last week. We are currently investigating this, but I need everyone to be more vigilant. Students should not be on their computers in the Library or bathrooms and recent gossip says they have. Please remind all our students that laptop use needs to be supervised. If you see any student breaking PSA please take their computer and let Shelli, Kyle, Angelica, or me know. More information to follow.

- Thanks to Shelli and the SC for planning this Monday's All School Chapel. This preparation has been on the heals of the MS Dance and so SC and Shelli have been very busy. I think you will all agree when you see the game show that SC hosts, what a great idea it was.
