• No School

Tuesday, Feb 16

• Grade 6 and 7 - Lunch in the Gyms
• PM Advisory 2:00 - 2:30 pm 
• Please review the Advisory Month of Kindness document for directions and links.
• There is a specific activity today for 7th so that all grades are caught up on the same videos and intros. Please use this week's advisory as each advisory sees fit. You may wish to work more on the activities associated with the Month Of Kindness or just spend time checking in with your advisory. 
• Grade 6 will also have the 1-minute Kindness Challenge video to watch at the start of each advisory.
• MS Leadership Team Meeting 2:30 - 3:30 pm 

Wednesday, Feb 17

• COVID testing available from 8:00 am in the MS Faculty Workroom 
• Grade 5 Parent Coffee
• Clare & Will 9:30 am (Molly to cover for Will)
• Student Diversity Leader Meeting 2:00 - 3:00 pm in person
• Tracey & Will leading. They will email the students involved who will miss athletics and meet in person.
• Grade 6 Math Club begins at 1:30 - 2:00 pm 
• Amanda will connect with students about the logistics of this.
• Grade Level Team Meetings 
• 2:00 - 2:30 PM Grade 8
• 2:30 - 3:00 PM Grade 7
• 3:00 - 3:30 PM Grade 6 (6th will stay last in the rotation for the next two weeks due to Will and Tracey's work with the SDL students)

Friday, Feb 19

• Presentation to Grade 5 at 10:00 am Clare & Will 
• Affinity Groups begin 2:00 - 2:15 pm. Students NOT in Affinity Groups should remain in Advisory. Students in Affinity Groups can live stream into their groups but may do so by finding a quiet space outside of their advisory classroom.

• Ticket To Thrive Survey: Last call for any insights into students who attended last week. Photos have been included to help remember who you may have spoken to. Thank you!

• MYP Rubrics: If you have not yet submitted your rubrics for your semester 2 units you are currently working on, please connect with Angelica ASAP. You can submit your rubric copies here.

• Standardization of names for Summative Assessments: In an effort to avoid having to hand-enter all of our summative scores for each criterion at the end of the semester, we need to standardize our practice of titling those assignments in myAW. That standardization will allow Ruth to pull all of our scores automatically.
• So, here is what we need to do. When we are titling our summative assessments in myAW, they must start as follows:
• Criterion A – Miracle Worker Summative Assessment
• Criterion D – Genetics Research Summative Assessment
• The two key elements of this process are:
• Starting with the specific criterion you’ll be assessing
• Putting a space both before AND AFTER the letter of the criterion being assessed 

• Continuing: 

• Summative Assessment Schedule: Please add any summative assessments you are planning in giving here in this doc. This will help us track work and avoid our students becoming overwhelmed. Please try not to add a summative to a day where there are already two due. 

• Sunshine Notes: Please attempt to send 2 sunshine notes each day this week. Please review the list of Sunshine & PC recipients but remember that this data is not automatically updated once a note is sent. 

Changes to the Week Ahead, Updates, & Reminders

• Wenwen/Vivian: She should be arriving in the USA on February 20. While she will not be in person as she lives much further north, it should make things a little easier for her in regards to attending classes. Jaewon should return on February 28 and will be in person!

• Please note that Sophia DePretis will be on campus all weeks starting tomorrow.
