Week Beginning Sep 5, 2023

Jaymie is no longer our newest addition to MS! Please welcome Melton Parker born 8lbs, 20.5". Likes: Mom, Eating, Sleeping, Cuddling, Pooping. Dislikes: Getting temperature checked and coming on time! There will be a card in the MS Office next week for David & Bonnie.

ACTION ITEMS

  • Extra Duties: They start this week. Please take another look at the EXTRA DUTIES tab on the MS Schedule spreadsheet to make sure you know where you need to be when. Questions? Reach out to Shelli or Clare.
  • Welcome call to families: The GLTL will send a welcome email out on Tuesday to introduce you all. I also added a short note in the Friday Flash about this too. Please make a quick call to your advisee family to introduce yourself by the end of the following week. More to come about this at the MS Faculty meeting this week
  • A reminder of things that will start the week beginning Sep 11:
    • Extra Support in Flex 3
    • DEI MS Committee - all are welcome to join
  • Review the GLTM: Please add any information that the new advisors should know about their kiddos. For example, if you are aware that a student spends most of their time at their grandparents during the week, but that their home address in myAW is different. Basically, things that might help an advisor navigate the first welcome phone call.
  • Teacher Classroom Must-Do and Suggest-Do: Here are some guidelines to help you in those initial lessons and weeks to ensure things go well. Shell will review these at the MS Faculty meeting this week as well.
