Congrats to all the students in Grade 6 and 7 for a tremendous arts showcase on Friday! The work the kiddos have produced was by far, some of the best I have ever seen. And if you did not see the presentations, please ask Sophie G and Luke G to reenact their Cinderall improv story - you will cry laughing!
ACTION ITEMS
- ALL COURSE REFLECTIONS ARE DUE! If you have not yet completed yours for whatever reason, please email me ASAP so I can keep your assigned survey open. They should have all been completed by the end of today.
- SUMMATIVE SCORES DUE: Just a reminder that summative scores are due in myAW no later 4pm on Wednesday.
- EXTRA CATCH UP CLUB MONDAY: Shelli will be supervising an extra CATCH-UP CLUB in the MS Lounge for students who are still needing to complete SUMMATIVES from Semester One. Please send her the names of kids you need to be there and you can drop off any needed paper copies of summatives to her office.
- Second Semester Clubs - Shelli will be sending out a Second Semester Club Choices survey to students Tuesday of this week. She is adding GARDENING CLUB, UKULELE CLUB, and MS MAGAZINE CLUB as options to the current slate of clubs. If you have another suggestion for a club, let her know Monday.
- NARRATIVE BULLET POINT: Another reminder that we DO need you to have the goal as a bullet point. If you have already written your narrative without one, sorry - please go through and move the goal to this format.
- MISSING ASSIGNMENTS: Between Monday and Thursday of next week (NOT BEFORE), please go through your grade books and uncheck the MISSING boxes on any assignments kids can no longer submit. Please leave the zero grades there. That way, when we run the MISSING ASSIGNMENTS report on Friday, 1/26, it will only list assignments students can and should still complete.
- Common Ground meeting slides: Please use these with your group to get the meeting going.
- DIRECTIONS FOR GROWTH MEASURE: Please reference these as needed.
- BLINKING GREEN LIGHT? If your temperature control is blinking on and off, please let Mark know. The heating/cooling system is still needing a few final touches with the notification system to the maintenance team. Thank you.
- MS Sections doc is now updated for Semester 2 sections.
ABSENT STUDENTS: If you are wondering if a student is absent on any given day, there are two potential ways to do that:
- Use the FIND ME NOW feature on myAW (on your Schedule and Performance Tab) – if a student has been marked absent for a period or for the whole day, you will see that there
- You can click on the ABSENCE REPORT link now in the Useful Links section of the blog. Ruth updates this report around 9:30 AM daily
