MS Faculty Blog: Week Beginning December 15, 2025

Mt. Rainier provided snow (not as much as last year), a bit of light rain, and some beautiful blue sky by the end of our snowshoeing. Kids were great, and traffic wasn't bad at all. I hope your HATCH day was just as good.

Visiting Students: If you had a visitor in your class this past week, please add your notes to the Committee Review in myAW. Admissions needs your feedback!

HATCH Photos & Video: Did you capture any incredible moments this week? If so, please upload any of your photos or videos to your HATCH Week folder before the end of the day on Tuesday. More can be added later, but we need everything we can get our hands on for Tuesday evening to make the HATCH intro movie. Here is the link to the main folder.

Winter To-Do List: If you have things that Beau can help with over break, please email. As we do each break, if our teaching assistant elects to work, there are no kiddos to supervise in the MS, so this is a great time to get bits and bobs done!

HATCH Week & Winter Carnival boxes: Before you leave for the Winter Break, please make sure these boxes are packed and in your rooms. Beau and I will then move them to the cupboard under the stairs during break and store them until next year.

Students with Missing Assignments we KNOW need support: A reminder that Jessica will continue to work with the students we know have any missing assignments still outstanding. We are tracking who on this Missing Assignment Student Support During HATCH doc if you want to see it. Jessica should loop in folks if they need her support during the 8:30 - 11:00 am time slot each day this coming week. - Update as of Friday at 4:45 pm: I think we might be almost caught up! More from Jessica next week as needed. Thank you, Jessica, for the great communication at home!

Missing Assignment Emails: We won't be sending the usual missing assignment email this or next week, as Jessica will be communicating with families throughout the week to update them on what has been completed and turned in.

Civvies All Week: Yes, this is great news! Friday is ugly sweater day, or really whatever you want, as it's also All School Civvies for the school.
