Grade 8 this week, removing the bad mojo from their lives and almost setting off the smoke detectors in the Great Hall in the process! Much fun was had by all!
ACTION ITEMS
- Letters of Agreement for next year: These will be released in Paycom on Wednesday, Feb 11. Please return by EOD the following Wednesday. If you need to chat with me about this, please pop in any time. Student contracts are also released at the same time and are due back the same day as letters of agreement.
- Habits Support Jan 2026: We have compiled the list of students in each grade who had a "need focused attention" in the Jan habits. During GLTM this coming week and next week, we will review these to determine which habit our students will focus on and create a support plan to be used between now and the end of Q3. Please review these students prior to the GLTM and bring your ideas and feedback.
- Attendance & Assignment Reports Copies: You now all have the hard copies of this report to review and discuss with your advisees this week. Please do not give this paper to your advisee; they can instead obtain their own copy from myAW. This is for you to keep. It would be a good tool for check-ins and goal setting, which could be reviewed at the end of Q3 and used at Conference Day on March 20.

- Special Schedules: Please check the Q3 calendar for upcoming events the week beginning Feb 23. Specifically, Grade 8 has two special days (Lei' La' will review these at the faculty meeting this week) and everyone has one on Friday, Feb 27, for the MainStage preview (timings are on the Special Schedule for this day). There is also a Grade 6 field trip scheduled for the following week. Lots happening before Spring Break!
- Habits CICO: We plan to share our initial idea with the team during the faculty meeting this week to gather your feedback and make any final tweaks. Ideally, we would roll out the support plan the week of Feb 23, giving us 4 weeks before Spring Break to test this system. Again, this will not be perfect, but it will be a starting point!
