Thank you all for your engagement and participation during our in-service day. A big shoutout to Bri and the other coordinators for leading us all in an intro/review of the ATLs. Bri has resources linked in the Update & Reminders section below. In the meantime, I'll let Jackie and Susan battle out if this is an acronym or a mnemonic device....
ACTION ITEMS
- FORMATIVE GRADES: Please ensure that there is at least one MYP Formative grade in the grade book for each class and student you teach. Bri is available for help and support as needed on this. Remember, this does not have to be a massive undertaking and could simply be a single strand of a criterion.
- HABIT GRADES: Please use the following documents to add in your habit scores for any students you teach (MYP classes, Office Hours, Clubs, etc.) by Friday at noon.
- Grade 6 Habit Scores (by teacher)
- Grade 7 Habit Scores (by teacher)
- Grade 8 Habit Scores (by teacher)
If you would like to review what the habits are and what a 1-4 means, look here.
Directions:
- For most students, we are only focusing on Level 1 habits (the first 4) for Q1. You only need to score these habits and NOT level 2 or 3 (with the exception of the folks in hot pink below and whoever we potentially decide for 6th).
- You DO NOT have to add a score to a habit if you feel that you do not have a fair read on the skill for the student - just leave it blank.
- If you teach the student in multiple classes, consider your score as trying to represent the student from a holistic perspective and all these experiences.
- As a team, we decided that the students in hot pink below have already completed all Level 1 habits to the highest standard. Next week, Ruth will mark these on the sheets for you. You do not need to add a score for Level 1 habits, but you SHOULD for Levels 2 and 3.
- Any other questions? Please see Shelli, Ruth (logistics of the sheets, or me. We are happy to help and will be available during the GLTM time if you need to connect.
- CONFERENCE DAY PREP: Please review this document regarding Conference Day. We will also review elements of this at the MS Faculty Meeting.
- MS DANCE: Just a reminder for those folks who will be chaperoning, see you in the Kemper Gym at 6:45 pm. Thank you!
