A big congratulations to the Wood Advisory for another epic win today! Apparently, the key to their success was practicing the banana switch in advisory, using a large number of rulers stacked together and tied with a rubber band. This group is ingenious and determined for sure. Has the domination of the Price and Jones advisory ended? More challenges to come soon!
ACTION ITEMS
- CONFERENCE PREP: I have edited slightly the document I linked last week and created a specific one to share with your advisees. We will review all these elements during Gathering on Monday, but you can also see the outline for how we will use Gatherings, Advisory, and Office Hours over the next two weeks.
- Schedule your conference times: Please send your conference email to parents using the template after the Friday Flash on October 14, ideally by the end of Tuesday, October 18. Please BCC all families.
- COOL PHOTO OPPS? If you have an activity that you think might make a great photo opportunity, please email quinci_adams@aw.org to let her know, and she will come and take any photos. Alternatively, you can simply take them yourself and add them to the Vidigami folder in the MS Shared Drive. A big thank you from the Communications team.
- CLASSROOMS for Tuesday night: Please try to make sure that your classrooms look top-notch for Tuesday and the MS Conference Night tours. Chuck and his team are aware, but if you can make sure that the displays look neat, as well as the furniture, etc. that would be amazing.
- MI & RI RESULTS: These will be posted in myAW on Tuesday. Based on these assessments, we have identified students who need extra support. If you would like to see who and what support we will have in place, please review this MI & RI Support Oct '22 document.
- STUDENTS IN THE MUSICAL: Just a polite reminder to consider the workload of the students Shelli reminded folks of in her email on Thursday. 21 of our MS kids have a busy schedule this week, so if we can be considerate of this, that would be amazing!
