And, if so, the title of the text(s). If you have not given students any textbooks, please select 'No' in the Textbooks Distributed column (or just reply to Ruth's email and she will kindly fill it in).
  • Reports to be upload to myAW once checked. Please do these by Friday at 9am. Thank you.

Changes to the Week Ahead, Updates, & Reminders
    • Surveys: These went out in the Flash to parents and to the students on Thursday afternoon. If you would like to see the results, here are the links. There aren't many parent responses yet, but hopefully, with another reminder, they will respond.
    • Welcome to Dimpy Bloodworth! I can officially confirm that Dimpy Bloodworth will be joining the MS team next year. She will be teaching 6th grade IS and be our chapel and service coordinator for the whole school. Dimpy has strong connections to Seattle and great experience with middle school. As the year progresses I will loop her in on more MS experiences as she is very keen to get to know you all and be involved. If you weren't aware, John Hunt will still be teaching and part of the MS, but he has decided to be PT and only teach Design in all three grades next year.
    Microsoft Teams Tips and Updates

    • As always, please remember to visit the AWS Technology Resources document frequently. There are a whole bunch of new resources shared by YOU all. Take a peek.

    • Updates from Sandra Bush

      • Community Connections:
        • Cooking and Baking: I really would love for some of you to share your wonderful recipes! I've added a couple of our family favorites. I would love to get some ideas from you - share a recipe (or two, or three) here and we'll have a lovely collection of recipes to come back to when the cooking/baking itch strikes!
        • Health/Sanity-Saving Activities: Anelisa has done a beautiful job updating our Online Academic Continuity Resource Board with some 5 min/30 min/1 hr+ ideas for individuals and with others. Have a moment to engage in breathing exercises? We got you.  Hankering to watch a movie with a faraway friend? We got you, too.  Also, did you know that the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival now has virtual tours? The Board will take you to them!  Have a family/individual physical-distancing activity that's working particularly well for you? Read an article recently you think would be worth sharing with others? I would love to hear from you and perhaps share it with others who might be searching for things to do/read! Send me your thoughts here.
      • New upcoming webinars that might be of interest: [keeping it light this week!]
        • April 29:
          • Learn from the Best: Yale’s Transition to Remote Teaching - Registration link here

      Absent Students

Kudos / Funny Stuff / Anything other than work...
      • Shannon sent this out about her recent grad work. If you need a giggle, check this out!

      • For those who didn't know, we have a professional athlete on our teaching staff, Mark Burton. As an ultimate frisbee guru, you can watch a replay of his 2016 AUDL Semi-Final and hear him comment on the game. Very impressive!

      • And if you didn't look at your email and see Nate, Andrew, Emil, and Myah dancing, please watch this short video of them promoting the Brain Breaks. It will put a smile on your face for sure!
