ACTION ITEMS

  • Course Descriptions in Toddle: Please make sure that all the units you have completed or started have the following, as they will be used as the course descriptions for the Semester 1 Reports:
    • Dates of your units (they need to at least start in Semester 1 to appear on the report)

    • Image - you pick!

    • Global Context

    • SOI 

  • Advisee Phone Calls: Please reach out by phone to your advise families, ideally before the end of the semester. This is in place of the narratives we used to write. You are welcome to start these as soon as you like. Please review the End of Semester Advisor Phone Calls doc for what to chat about. 
  • Missing Assignments for Units FINISHED in Semester 1: Remove any zeros for any COMPLETED units in Semester 1 by Friday, Jan 24. The zeros can still remain until this date so that students complete them, but there is little point after the 24th. To do this, please:
    • Filter the Missing Assignment doc for your class to find the missing assignments listed for your subject on Jan 17.
    • Remove the zero. 
    • Add a comment: “This Semester 1 assignment was never submitted.”
  • Units Continuing into Semester 2:
    • Connect with Ruth if you started a unit in Semester 1 and are continuing in Semester 2.
    • Please let Ruth know the START date of that unit by WEDNESDAY, JAN 22.

FYI
  • Open Gym During Office Hours: We are switching the grades around for this next week, and then it will be on pause the following due to the US needing the gym space for mock exams. 
    • Tuesday - 7th 
    • Wednesday - 8th 
    • Thursday - 6th 



TODDLE TIPS & TRICKS

In setting up our Semester One report cards, we noticed that any unit that you’ve imported into your Semester One class will show up in the semester one progress report, even if it hasn’t been taught yet. For simplicity, we’re asking that you remove/unshare any units from your courses that you have NOT taught in Semester One by Thursday, January 16. BUT tread carefully–you don’t want to permanently delete any units! These slides show you what to do to safely remove units from Semester One without deleting them entirely.
